Come and see my boudoir studio! ➡️✨
So, in the studio, it’s super dark. 🌑 I have a makeup area with bright makeup lights 💄, and rails filled with veils and wedding accessories 👰♀️. When I spin around, you can see the space behind me is completely black… the walls are black, and the room is very, very dark.
As you can see, it’s not the biggest space, but it’s powerful.
I use a really beautiful overhead lighting system 💡. The lights are attached to the ceiling, and that’s how I create those stunning silhouette shots, key light images, and artistic lighting styles. 🎥 Over the years, we’ve had the BBC, The Telegraph, various newspapers, and even Radio 4 in here. 🎙️
I think because I pioneered boudoir photography back in 2002, the press became fascinated. They were curious… what’s happening here?
Why are women choosing to have photo shoots with no clothes on? 🤔 So they came in, interviewed clients who were happy to share their stories on camera, and explored what these women were really looking for.
And the answer is usually the same: body confidence. 💖
This is a room where thousands of women have discovered confidence in themselves. It’s an immersive studio experience, with beautiful lighting and my dedicated boudoir posing platform. 📸
At one point, Alesha Dixon was here with a film crew, photographing Nicola a bride-to-be whose husband hadn’t seen her naked for years. 🎬
The studio has been replicated many times. I’ve opened several across the UK 🇬🇧 and even went to Mosc0w 🇷🇺 to help someone set up their own photography business.

This is one of the most common questions I get. And the truth is simple. You do NOT need to cancel, reschedule, or stress. 🙅♀️
I will guide you into poses that lift, arch, and twist your body in ways that flatter you beautifully. You will not look bloated. I promise. ✨
Wearing a tampon or string. You can still shoot nude with no problem.
Wearing a pad. Totally fine too. Just bring a variety of knickers. 👙
Think options like;
Full briefs.
Thong.
Brazilian.
Boxer style.
French knickers.
This gives us different shapes, lines, and angles to work with so your images still look elegant, artistic, and confident. 🎞️
During your shoot, I’ll direct you every step of the way. From subtle movements like pulling the waistband or adjusting the hemline, to poses that create that effortless, classy feel. 🤍

If you bring nothing else to your boudoir bridal shoot, bring this. Simple. Powerful. Versatile.
Here is why it works.
1. You do not have to wear it. Hold it. Drape it. Tie it at the waist. Let it fall off the shoulder. It creates shape, movement, and mystery. Perfect for soft black and white frames with just a hint of coverage.

Before I get into my ideas about the fluffy subject of body hair for the perfect boudoir bride shot…

Let’s talk bikini line.
I recommend waxing three to five days before your shoot.
If you prefer shaving, shave on the day. My style of boudoir photography is a little rule breaking, which means your bikini line might be visible. ( Probably will!)
Over the last 20 years, I have seen everything. From no hair, to full hair, to a little bit of hair, to even heart shaped hair. It is completely your choice.
If you are wearing tights or stockings, leg hair does not matter too much, however, my lighting is artistic and flattering.
I use backlighting and key lighting.
If you haven’t shaved at all or have a lot of leg hair, it can show in the photos. It is personal preference, but if it were me, I would shave my legs. 🪞
Underarm hair is also something to think about. Many of my poses involve lifting your arms or bringing your shoulders forward. The angle may catch your underarm. So whatever your usual routine is, it is worth reconsidering it for this special occasion. ✨

Bring something you think your partner would love to see you in. 💌

A high waisted cut adds a vintage and flattering silhouette.
A brief offers more coverage with a soft and elegant feel.
