I’ve just finished my bridal boudoir photo shoot for the afternoon, and today my bride brought with her some bubblegum pink Maison Close lingerie, which is absolutely to die for!
She also brought with her a gorgeous Gossard corset with black stockings and that too looked amazing. She brought her wedding veil and her wedding shoes, and together we created a beautiful collection of portraits, stunning artistic shots, and some with her with nothing on as well.

There was a time when photographing brides in my boudoir studio was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
There was a time when photographing brides in my boudoir studio was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
Not because of the job…
But because I was going through my own divorce.
Every week, I was capturing women who were about to marry the love of their lives, while I was trying to come to terms with the end of mine.
Some days, it was heartbreaking.
But I’ve learned that our hardest seasons often shape us in ways we don’t realise at the time.
Looking back, I now wonder how many of those brides had also experienced heartbreak before finding the person they were about to marry.
Because life doesn’t always follow the path we imagined.
I was lucky enough to find love again, and I remarried at 49.
That’s why bridal boudoir means so much more to me today.
It’s not just about creating beautiful photographs.
It’s about celebrating confidence, resilience, and the courage to open your heart again.
Because sometimes, the greatest love story isn’t your first…
It’s the one that comes after you’ve learned how strong you really are.

If you’re conscious about them, there are so many ways I can work with lighting, shadows, posing and styling to soften their appearance or simply choose angles where they don’t feature at all.

Brides have been bringing in these garter belt stocking attachments to wear for their bridal boudoir shoots.
Brides have been bringing in these garter belt stocking attachments to wear for their bridal boudoir shoots. They’re so cool because you don’t have to be wearing a matching lingerie set on.
Put two hands into the toe of your stocking, and then pull the stocking up with the inside of your palms. Don’t make contact with your nails on those stockings; otherwise, you’ll snag them.
When you want to attach the stockings, if you’re here in the studio with me, I will help you to get those stocking attachments on because they can be quite tricky, especially if you’re wearing hold-ups.
These are hold-ups, so there’s rubber at the top of the stocking, which means that when you’re trying to push the inside of the stocking cloth down into the metal bit, which is basically what fastens it, it can just be a little bit tricky.
