Although some days I’d like to! These are a few of the habits I’m trying, to help me feel better…
Daily dry body brushing…
I absolutely love it. It’s become a mindful way to connect with my body and check in with every little part of it. My skin feels softer and smoother, and the lymphatic drainage benefits are a lovely bonus. I always do it before showering, then apply moisturiser to damp skin and let it dry naturally. I actually learned this little ritual years ago from one of my bridal clients, and I’ve never looked back.
Cheers Chia’s!
Adding chia seeds to almost everything!
Beetroot juice, porridge, yoghurt, smoothies, salads… you name it! They’re packed with goodness, supporting heart and brain health while helping to reduce inflammation. At this stage of life, I’m all for simple habits that make a difference.
❤️ Prioritising intimacy!
As our hormones change, it’s easy for intimacy to slip down the list. For me, it’s an important way to stay connected to myself and my partner. It makes me feel more alive, more present and, quite simply, happier.
✨ Doing things that scare me a little
This definitely doesn’t come naturally! Last night I went into London to a brilliant and empowering talk – Aging Disgracefully @TheIvy, with the utterly fabulous and glamorous @jodalton, @drtam and @emsayle333 I went on my own and met some incredible people and left wondering why I don’t do this more often. Sometimes the best things happen just outside your comfort zone.
Age really is just a number so they say… but feeling your best takes effort! Plus a lot of discipline and desire.
I’d love to know… what’s one habit that’s made a real difference to your life recently?
Love
