When I asked @tracysladiesfitness for feedback on my boudoir photography service here’s the beautiful response from Tracy that made me cry… “Hey Alex 💖 I’d be honoured for you to share my story and photos, because working with you is so much more than just a photoshoot.
🌷It’s a full experience that I truly cherish.
I book shoots once or twice a year, and have done for nearly 10 years now, not just as a celebration of how I look, but as a reminder of everything I’ve overcome and everything I stand for.
It keeps me accountable to my health and training, and it’s my way of showing the women I coach that confidence, courage, and strength don’t have an age limit.
When I found you two years ago, I was turning 50 and grieving the loss of my brother, who tragically passed at 49. That heartbreak lit a fire in me, a fierce reminder that life is short, and we have to grab every chance to live boldly and fearlessly.
Travelling over 300 miles to shoot with you wasn’t even a question, I knew your style and energy matched everything I was searching for: realness, raw beauty, and a celebration of womanhood that didn’t rely on filters or fakery.
You create a space that makes women feel seen, empowered, and beautiful, just as they are. No pretence. No pressure. You guide, direct, uplift, and laugh with us every step of the way. The entire process feels like a collaboration between friends, and your makeup artist is absolute magic too.
As a women’s fitness coach, my mission is to help women feel stronger, more confident, and proud in their own skin, not just for photos, but for life. And you, Alex, are part of that journey. You capture us at our best: not because we’re perfect, but because we’re powerful.
Thank you for doing what you do, I honestly can’t wait for our next shoot.
Tracy xx”

🦋 Let’s talk about scars, ladies…
🦋 Let’s talk about scars, ladies…
In my colourful career as a boudoir photographer, I’ve photographed hundreds of women—often partially or fully nude—and one thing keeps coming up: how we feel about our scars.
Some women want to hide them.
Some want to show them off, defiantly.
Most of us? We’re somewhere in the middle. Torn. Tender. Unsure. Right?
Today, I’m lying by the pool in Spain, basking under the sun on my 50-something skin, flipping through a crime novel. I catch sight of a faint silver scar on my arm—and just like that, I’m not in Spain anymore. I’m back in a hospital bed in 2021.
It was the first time I’d ever been really ill. A sudden infection in my ovary and fallopian tube. Painful. Frightening. I was vulnerable, angry, high on morphine, unsure what was happening. That little scar on my arm? That’s where they put in a PICC line so I could leave the hospital but return daily for IV antibiotics. It hurt like hell. But it also helped save my life.
And now, years later, when I see it? I still feel a wobble. A flash of fear. But mostly—relief. Gratitude. I’m still here. Still me.
It made me reflect, so let me ask you…
💭 How do YOU feel about your scars?
Do they bring up pain, or pride?
Do they tell stories you’d rather forget—or ones you never want to lose?
Scars are like time stamps. They say: “I was here. I lived this. I got through.”
Sometimes they mark trauma.
Sometimes joy.
Sometimes surgeries. Sometimes survival.
In my studio at FYEO PORTRAITS, some clients ask to have their scars edited out. And of course, I honour that. It’s your choice, always. But I also light every photo artistically with care. Not to erase, but to embrace.
Because I never see women as body parts.
We are whole.
Brave. Soft. Powerful. Beautiful.
Our scars don’t define us.
But they do say something.
And we get to choose what they say.
So I’d love to know…
✨ Do you have a scar?
✨ What story does it hold?
✨ If I photographed you—would you want it hidden… or honoured?
Let me know. 👇💬

✨ 💡Shine Your Light – Part one of an article written by Masters Athlete and Empowerment coach @zoedoyle._
“The eternal feminine draws us on.”
— Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
“Her body is her magic: it both invokes the male and is the vessel of all human life. Women’s magic
is thus primary, and of nature.”
— Joseph Campbell, Goddesses: The Mysteries of the Feminine Divine, edited by Saffron Rossi
🌹 A Celebration of Femininity
In Goddesses, Joseph Campbell explores the symbolic, mythological, and archetypal themes of the
feminine divine — a celebration of the sacred and transformative power of womanhood.
This same energy is invoked through Alexandra’s @fyeoportraits boudoir photography. Even before women
see the incredible images, they begin to experience a shift. Many arrive already on a journey of
personal growth; the shoot becomes a ritual of self-realisation.
Boudoir photography can serve as a rite of passage — a mirror that reflects our inner goddess. It
allows us to explore feminine archetypes, awaken our life force, and reconnect with our creative
essence.
We become our own muse. We see and feel our feminine divinity. It is a powerful process
of self-acceptance and integration.
💖 Self-Confidence & Self-Love
As an empowerment coach, I help women build deep confidence and self-love. True transformation
begins within. Lasting change comes from nurturing our internal landscape.
🔓 Internal Validation
Embracing our messy, perfectly imperfect humanity means letting go of people-pleasing,
perfectionism, and external validation. Confidence arises when we honour our internal compass —
led by values, intuition, and the wisdom of our Higher Self.
It takes courage to stand out. To risk vulnerability. But this is our superpower. As The Confidence
Code says:
“We can resent it, let it undermine us or limit us, or we can embrace our uniqueness and choose to
wear it like a badge of honour.”
Not everyone will understand your path. Not everyone will like you — and that’s okay…
🦋 Naked and Unapologetically Me
🦋 Naked and Unapologetically Me
Today, I’m spending the day naked.
(Not in Sainsbury’s, don’t worry!)
I’m on holiday — tucked in a remote Andalusian mountain village. There’s sun, a pool, and just me and my husband, unwinding and reconnecting. This has become a yearly ritual. Space to breathe, to be. No noise, no clothes — just presence.
I’m not one for nudist beaches. But in private, with intention, I feel something powerful: freedom. In my 51-year-old skin. Crinkly, wobbly, beautiful. A body that’s carried life, love, and lived stories.
We’ve been through a lot — illness, injuries, aches. But we’re still here. Still moving. Still shining.
Floating in the water, stretching, twisting, sunlight dancing on my skin — I feel completely at ease. My mind drifts to my boudoir studio, @fyeoportraits, where I help women feel this same connection: safe, seen, powerful in their bodies.
This naked time is intimate in more ways than one. My husband and I, just being — talking, laughing, holding space for each other. No distractions. That kind of closeness? It’s gold.
I’m caring for my skin — reapplying SPF, choosing shade, noticing freckles and lines and softness, and feeling joy. I see the story in my body — and I honour it.
23 years in the studio has taught me this:
How we talk to ourselves matters.
Beauty isn’t youth — it’s energy.
Confidence doesn’t come from size — it comes from truth.
The incredible women I photograph daily remind me: aging is beautiful. Passion belongs to every age. Self-love is a daily choice.
So yes — today, and tomorrow, I’m naked. And smiling. And deeply at home in my 51-year-old body. ✨
Soon I’ll be back in the studio, helping you feel this too — comfortable, confident, and radiant in your own skin. ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @zoedoyle and I had a fab time catching up in the studio last week creating a sensational collection of new artistic sports themed portraits. This was Zoe’s 3rd shoot with me and we always create fabulous portraits! 📸
@Zoedoyle is a powerhouse. A world champion, British record holder and empowerment coach. A Masters Athlete, Zoe competes in women’s 45 middle distance. She’s frickin inspirational.
Zoe brought a stunning collection of fabulous jewelled harnesses by designer Lorna Jane to her shoot along with some bold running-inspired looks including a standout Barbie-pink suit 💖
We explored a mix of glamour and athleticism, playing with fabric, movement, and my wind tunnel Beyoncé!
Zoe was completely in her element – confident, curious, and game for every creative setup I had in mind for her. Her favorite part? The chance to wear those unique, special Lorna Jane pieces. And of course, just having fun!
🙏Thank you, Zoe, for bringing your magic to the studio, see you next time!

💍💌 For one of the shots, she “borrowed” one of his favourite shirts and wore it with just her wedding shoes and hair band.
“Thank you so much for a magical experience and making me feel so confident today has been wonderful and I can’t wait to give the pictures to my groom as a wedding gift x”
This is why I do what I do — helping women feel bold, beautiful, and completely themselves. 💫 Brides, if you’ve ever thought about doing a boudoir shoot… take this as your sign. It’s more than a gift for someone else — it’s a gift to yourself. 🖤

📸🙌 After a photo shoot, one of my absolute favorite parts of the process is diving into the editing.
📸🙌 After a photo shoot, one of my absolute favorite parts of the process is diving into the editing. There’s something so satisfying about scrolling through hundreds of shots, each one capturing a different vibe, a different moment, a different expression.
🦋 Most of my clients bring 3–5 outfit sets—heels, lingerie, jewelry, accessories—so there’s this amazing variety to work with, and that’s where the real fun begins.
🚀 During the shoot, I take tons of photos in each look. Then when I sit down to edit, I’m not just looking for a pretty picture—I’m watching for magic. I look at facial expressions, body language, energy. I ask: what feels real? What feels powerful? What tells a story?
I also choose whether each image lives best in color or black & white. Sometimes a bold ColourPop shot says it all, and other times, a moody black-and-white edit with deep shadows brings out something raw and timeless.
Putting together an album is one of my favorite creative challenges. It’s not just about picking “the best” shots—it’s about flow. Balance. Contrast. Sometimes I’ll pair a soft, sensual image with a punchy, dramatic one just to let them bounce off each other. Editing becomes this dance between light and mood and movement—and I love every second.
Honestly, I’ve been glued to my computer since 7am this morning, fans blasting around me (because, yes, it’s boiling!)—but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. This part of the job? It’s pure joy. ✨💻📸

📸 Today’s boudoir session was an absolute dream
📸 Today’s boudoir session was an absolute dream — a Marilyn Monroe-inspired shoot with a modern twist…
✨ My beautiful bride-to-be embodied 1950s starlet glamour, complete with vintage lingerie, soft Hollywood waves, and a playful cowboy theme that added the perfect edge 🤠💋
We recreated iconic Monroe portraits using my signature creative studio lighting — backlit glow, rich shadows, and an artistic smoky atmosphere that gave every image a cinematic mood. The soft directional light sculpted her figure while subtly smoothing skin for that timeless, flattering finish. Every frame felt like a still from a forgotten classic film. 🎞️
Creating boudoir portraits with light, mood, and a whole lot of heart.

Would you like a condensed version for stories or a more emotional tone too?
🌷 In a world full of filters, comparisons, and unsolicited opinions, here’s a truth worth repeating:
🌷 In a world full of filters, comparisons, and unsolicited opinions, here’s a truth worth repeating: how you feel about your body matters more than what anyone else thinks. 💛
We grow up being taught to seek validation—likes, compliments, approval. But the most powerful kind of confidence? It comes from within. You don’t need permission to feel beautiful. You don’t need to shrink yourself to fit someone else’s idea of worth.
Your body is your home. It deserves love, care, and respect—not judgment or shame.
That’s the heart of boudoir.
It’s not about posing for someone else—it’s about reclaiming your narrative, owning your story, and celebrating your body exactly as it is.
Boudoir is a radical act of self-love in a world that profits from insecurity. It’s saying, I am enough—even on the days I don’t feel like it.
So show up for yourself.
Unapologetic. Unforgettable.
