✨Body brushing: the most underrated form of self-love✨ As a professional boudoir photographer, I see women reconnect with their bodies in the most beautiful, vulnerable, and empowering ways in my studio. 🦋I want to share one small ritual that has had a massive impact on how I see and feel about my own body—body brushing. Every morning, I make it a moment. I grab my body brush and check in with myself. I touch base with my toes, ankles, fingers, elbows. And I say— 🦶“Good morning, toes!” 💪“Hi there, elbow. You’re looking gorgeous today.” 🧤“Morning, ankles. We’re going to have a fab day.” I know it sounds a little silly, but stay with me. This isn’t about vanity. It’s about rewriting the internal narrative so many of us have absorbed for years—the one that criticizes and picks apart our reflection before we’ve even had coffee. This is about consciously choosing to treat your body with kindness. Speaking to it with love. Looking at it with gratitude. Because here’s the truth: we can decide, right now, to change the voice you use when you speak to yourself. And when you do, everything shifts. After brushing, I smooth on the most delicious moisturizer I own—not because I’m trying to “fix” anything, but because I’ve decided to treat my skin like a Ferrari. A damn Ferrari. It’s coming out of the garage, getting polished with love, admired like the work of art it is! 🚀 Ladies, if you’re waiting to feel confident before you love your body—you’re doing it backwards. ⭐️ Start with the love. ⭐️ Start with the ritual. ⭐️ Start with the intention. ⭐️ The confidence follows. So tomorrow morning, grab your brush, say hello to your knees, and start the day with joy in your bones. Your body deserves to be loved by the most important person in your life—you. When I asked @tracysladiesfitness for feedback on my boudoir photography service here’s the beautiful response from Tracy that made me cry… “Hey Alex 💖 I’d be honoured for you to share my story and photos, because working with you is so much more than just a photoshoot. 🌷It’s a full experience that I truly cherish. I book shoots once or twice a year, and have done for nearly 10 years now, not just as a celebration of how I look, but as a reminder of everything I’ve overcome and everything I stand for. It keeps me accountable to my health and training, and it’s my way of showing the women I coach that confidence, courage, and strength don’t have an age limit. When I found you two years ago, I was turning 50 and grieving the loss of my brother, who tragically passed at 49. That heartbreak lit a fire in me, a fierce reminder that life is short, and we have to grab every chance to live boldly and fearlessly. Travelling over 300 miles to shoot with you wasn’t even a question, I knew your style and energy matched everything I was searching for: realness, raw beauty, and a celebration of womanhood that didn’t rely on filters or fakery. You create a space that makes women feel seen, empowered, and beautiful, just as they are. No pretence. No pressure. You guide, direct, uplift, and laugh with us every step of the way. The entire process feels like a collaboration between friends, and your makeup artist is absolute magic too. As a women’s fitness coach, my mission is to help women feel stronger, more confident, and proud in their own skin, not just for photos, but for life. And you, Alex, are part of that journey. 🦋 Let’s talk about scars, ladies… In my colourful career as a boudoir photographer, I’ve photographed hundreds of women—often partially or fully nude—and one thing keeps coming up: how we feel about our scars. Some women want to hide them. Some want to show them off, defiantly. Most of us? We’re somewhere in the middle. Torn. Tender. Unsure. Right? Today, I’m lying by the pool in Spain, basking under the sun on my 50-something skin, flipping through a crime novel. I catch sight of a faint silver scar on my arm—and just like that, I’m not in Spain anymore. I’m back in a hospital bed in 2021. It was the first time I’d ever been really ill. A sudden infection in my ovary and fallopian tube. Painful. Frightening. I was vulnerable, angry, high on morphine, unsure what was happening. That little scar on my arm? That’s where they put in a PICC line so I could leave the hospital but return daily for IV antibiotics. It hurt like hell. But it also helped save my life. And now, years later, when I see it? I still feel a wobble. A flash of fear. But mostly—relief. Gratitude. I’m still here. Still me. It made me reflect, so let me ask you… 💭 How do YOU feel about your scars? Do they bring up pain, or pride? Do they tell stories you’d rather forget—or ones you never want to lose? Scars are like time stamps. They say: “I was here. I lived this. I got through.” Sometimes they mark trauma. Sometimes joy. Sometimes surgeries. Sometimes survival. In my studio at FYEO PORTRAITS, some clients ask to have their scars edited out. And of course, I honour that. It’s your choice, always. But I also light every photo artistically with care. Not to erase, but to embrace. Because I never see women as body parts. We are whole. Brave. Soft. Powerful. Beautiful. Our scars don’t define us. But they do say something. And we get to choose what they say. 🌹 A Celebration of Femininity
In Goddesses, Joseph Campbell explores the symbolic, mythological, and archetypal themes of the
feminine divine — a celebration of the sacred and transformative power of womanhood.

This same energy is invoked through Alexandra’s @fyeoportraits boudoir photography. Even before women
see the incredible images, they begin to experience a shift. Many arrive already on a journey of
personal growth; the shoot becomes a ritual of self-realisation.

Boudoir photography can serve as a rite of passage — a mirror that reflects our inner goddess. It
allows us to explore feminine archetypes, awaken our life force, and reconnect with our creative
essence.

We become our own muse. We see and feel our feminine divinity. It is a powerful process

begins within. Lasting change comes from nurturing our internal landscape.

Embracing our messy, perfectly imperfect humanity means letting go of people-pleasing,
perfectionism, and external validation. Confidence arises when we honour our internal compass —
led by values, intuition, and the wisdom of our Higher Self.
It takes courage to stand out. To risk vulnerability. But this is our superpower. As The Confidence

🦋 Naked and Unapologetically Me Today, I’m spending the day naked. (Not in Sainsbury’s, don’t worry!) I’m on holiday — tucked in a remote Andalusian mountain village. There’s sun, a pool, and just me and my husband, unwinding and reconnecting. This has become a yearly ritual. Space to breathe, to be. No noise, no clothes — just presence. I’m not one for nudist beaches. But in private, with intention, I feel something powerful: freedom. In my 51-year-old skin. Crinkly, wobbly, beautiful. A body that’s carried life, love, and lived stories. We’ve been through a lot — illness, injuries, aches. But we’re still here. Still moving. Still shining. Floating in the water, stretching, twisting, sunlight dancing on my skin — I feel completely at ease. My mind drifts to my boudoir studio, @fyeoportraits, where I help women feel this same connection: safe, seen, powerful in their bodies. This naked time is intimate in more ways than one. My husband and I, just being — talking, laughing, holding space for each other. No distractions. That kind of closeness? It’s gold. I’m caring for my skin — reapplying SPF, choosing shade, noticing freckles and lines and softness, and feeling joy. I see the story in my body — and I honour it. 23 years in the studio has taught me this: How we talk to ourselves matters. Beauty isn’t youth — it’s energy. Confidence doesn’t come from size — it comes from truth. The incredible women I photograph daily remind me: aging is beautiful. Passion belongs to every age. Self-love is a daily choice. So yes — today, and tomorrow, I’m naked. And smiling. And deeply at home in my 51-year-old body. ✨ Soon I’ll be back in the studio, helping you feel this too — comfortable, confident, and radiant in your own skin. ❤️ #NakedAndUnapologetic #ThisIs51 #BodyConfidence #fyeoportraits #boudoir #BoudoirPhotographer #FYEO #SelfLoveClub #BodyPositivity #MidlifeMagic #RealBodiesRealStories #EmpoweredWomen

I’m on holiday — tucked in a remote Andalusian mountain village.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @zoedoyle and I had a fab time catching up in the studio last week creating a sensational collection of new artistic sports themed portraits. This was Zoe’s 3rd shoot with me and we always create fabulous portraits! 📸 @Zoedoyle is a powerhouse. A world champion, British record holder and empowerment coach. A Masters Athlete, Zoe competes in women’s 45 middle distance. She’s frickin inspirational. Zoe brought a stunning collection of fabulous jewelled harnesses by designer Lorna Jane to her shoot along with some bold running-inspired looks including a standout Barbie-pink suit 💖 We explored a mix of glamour and athleticism, playing with fabric, movement, and my wind tunnel Beyoncé! Zoe was completely in her element – confident, curious, and game for every creative setup I had in mind for her. Her favorite part? The chance to wear those unique, special Lorna Jane pieces. And of course, just having fun! 🙏Thank you, Zoe, for bringing your magic to the studio, see you next time! @Zoedoyle is a powerhouse. A world champion, British record holder and empowerment coach. A Masters Athlete, Zoe competes in women’s 45 middle distance. She’s frickin inspirational.

Zoe brought a stunning collection of fabulous jewelled harnesses by designer Lorna Jane to her shoot along with some bold running-inspired looks including a standout Barbie-pink suit 💖

We explored a mix of glamour and athleticism, playing with fabric, movement, and my wind tunnel Beyoncé!
