UK Boudoir Photography

Hi, if we haven’t already met, I’m your arty boudoir photographer friend, Alexandra Vince.

Hi, if we haven’t already met, I’m your arty boudoir photographer friend, Alexandra Vince. 🎨

I’m sensitive, romantic, passionate… and according to my daughter, I probably have ADHD too!

I’ve been running For Your Eyes Only Portraits for 24 years. After studying fashion art & photography, I created a portrait business that grew alongside my little family – my kids are now in their 20’s!

Over the years I’ve experienced challenges that shaped me deeply: my daughter being born with a cleft lip, divorce, and losing my brother to alcoholism. Those experiences whilst sad, help me in the way I connect with people in studio and beyond.

Back in 2002, photographing brides as an intimate wedding gift was revolutionary. It attracted the BBC, newspapers, and brides from all over the world because nothing like it existed inside or outside of the UK.

My passion for photographing the female form comes from my own body insecurities, my love of art photography, and my hopelessly romantic heart that adores weddings.

Today, I work one-to-one with brides in my studio near Marlow, creating a guided studio experience where I help you see yourself differently, beautifully, powerfully, artistically.

I choreograph flattering poses designed to transform the way you feel in your body. It’s more than photographs; it’s a mindset shift.

My influences include Helmut Newton, Annie Leibovitz, David LaChapelle and the pages of Vogue. Ironically, after doing work experience at Vogue, I walked out because I hated the culture. But leaving made me trust myself more than ever.

As a photographer I paint with light, break the rules of studio photography, and create intimate, elegant portraits that become part of your life story.

I wrote a book, The Queen of Boudoir, sharing my startup story and the transformative power of the photoshoot experience.

At 52, I honestly feel at the top of my career.

And if you’re still reading this, maybe you’re meant to come and see me for your own boudoir bride photoshoot!

⭐️ Boudoir Bride Wedding Gift, Top Tips (Part 14): Stretch Marks Stretch marks are not the problem.

⭐️ Boudoir Bride Wedding Gift, Top Tips (Part 14): Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are not the problem.
The way we’ve been taught to see them is.

You are not a close-up of your skin. You are a whole woman, energy, presence, softness, strength.

In a boudoir shoot, that’s what we capture.

With the right lighting, angles, and styling, your body looks completely different. Soft light smooths, flattering poses lengthen and shape, and suddenly the things you worried about fade into the background.

Because they were never the focus.

You’re in control of how your images feel:

• Flattering lighting
• Beautiful, intentional posing
• The choice to soften, hide, or keep your stretch marks exactly as they are

Some brides choose to edit them. Some celebrate them.

I usually soften them, not because they matter, but because they don’t define you. They are secondary to the feeling of the image, romantic, feminine, artistic, you.

But I understand why they can feel big.

When I was a teenager, I suddenly got deep red lines on my body. I had no idea what they were. I felt too self-conscious to ask anyone, even my mum. I genuinely thought I was the only one.

It affected my confidence for years.

Then I realised, everyone has them. I’m normal.

That changed everything.

So if this is something you’re worried about, remember:

1. You’re not alone, stretch marks are completely normal, for women and men
2. Lighting changes everything, what you see at home isn’t the full picture
3. They’re a tiny part of you, not the story

This isn’t about perfect skin.
It’s about capturing you, exactly as you are, just before you walk down the aisle.

Stretch marks are part of your story, not something that should hold you back from being seen.

Let me show you how beautiful that can look.

Follow me and share this with a bride-to-be 🤍
See you soon,

BOUDOIR BRIDE – Wedding Gift Part 13: Plus Size There’s a question I get asked all the time.

BOUDOIR BRIDE – Wedding Gift Part 13: Plus Size

There’s a question I get asked all the time.

“Am I too big for a boudoir shoot?”
No.
You are not too big.You are not too small.
You are exactly as you are meant to be.

Boudoir isn’t about size.
It’s about celebrating your body, right here, right now and creating a stunning wedding gift.

Your curves.Your shape.Your skin.

Forget the labels. They were never made for you anyway.

Instead of asking, “Is my body okay?”
Try saying:✨ “I’m a beautiful, confident woman… just wait till you see me.” ✨
In my studio, I’ll guide you every step of the way, posing, styling, lighting, so you feel powerful, sexy, and completely YOU.

This isn’t just a photoshoot. It’s a moment to fall in love with yourself again.

And maybe… create the most unforgettable wedding gift! 💍
Are you ready to see yourself through the lens of love?

Three things to remember:

1. “Plus size” is just a category—you don’t have to accept it if it’s not serving you.
2. Clothing sizes are inconsistent. Don’t build your self-worth around a label.
3. Seeing yourself properly—styled, held, and fully expressed—changes everything. It shows you you’re already whole.

They work.

But you have to decide,
are you ready to see yourself differently?

Let’s create a deliciously secret wedding gift for your partner!

BOUDOIR BRIDE WEDDING GIFT TOP TIPS | PART Twelve – Makeup 💄✨ Your makeup needs to be stronger than your everyday look for a boudoir bride shoot.

BOUDOIR BRIDE WEDDING GIFT TOP TIPS | PART Twelve – Makeup 💄✨

Your makeup needs to be stronger than your everyday look for a boudoir bride shoot. Think evening glam 🌙 Smoky eyes, liner, mascara, and lashes if you love them. The goal is defined eyes that stand out under studio lighting. 👀

Studio lighting is powerful. Without stronger makeup, your features can look washed out. You’re not changing how you look, just enhancing your natural features for the camera. 📸

Go for a matte skin finish. Avoid heavy shimmer or highlighter as it can reflect too much light. Light contouring around the cheeks, nose, and jawline works well if it still looks like you. 🤍

Make sure your face and body skin tones match, especially for full body shots. This keeps your images clean and polished. ✨

You have two options for your boudoir bride photoshoot experience with me:

1️⃣ Do your own makeup , aim for a glam evening look!

2️⃣ Book a professional makeover for a full smokey eye finish. 💋

Final tip… this shoot is about capturing you, not changing you. Stronger makeup simply helps translate your beauty through the lens. 💖

A powerful, personal wedding gift you’ll never regret!

I’ll be your guide.

Another fabulous boudoir bride photoshoot today.

Another fabulous boudoir bride photoshoot today. 📸🥂

Had so much fun. Absolutely loved it, every second.
My client today brought in a good collection of lingerie. She had bright colours, black and something bridal.

She also bought in a pair of nude heels, which looked incredible. She kindly left a note for me in my guest book, and here’s what she had to say.

She said, “I’m so I’m so grateful for what Alex has done today for someone with low self confidence. I have felt so at ease from the moment I arrived, and feel very excited to see the final results!”

Come and see me. 📸⭐️🥂

BOUDOIR BRIDE WEDDING GIFT TOP TIP ELEVEN | Don’t forget!

BOUDOIR BRIDE WEDDING GIFT TOP TIP ELEVEN | Don’t forget!

Here’s the one thing most brides forget before their boudoir photoshoot… and it makes a huge difference. ✨

It’s not about your size. It’s not about your shape. It’s not even about how confident you feel walking in. 💫

And surprisingly… it’s not about what outfits you bring either. 👀

The real secret is something far simpler. Something almost everyone overlooks.

What you wear on the journey to your shoot. 🚗

Yes, really.

Anything tight. Socks. Bra straps. Skinny jeans. Even textured fabrics like corduroy. They all leave marks on your skin. And those marks can take time to fade. ⏳

Which means when you step in front of the camera, your skin might not look as smooth and flawless as it could.

So here’s what to do instead. 🤍

Wear something loose. Something soft. Something that lets your skin breathe. Think oversized, comfy, light layers that won’t press into your body at all. ☁️

Because when your skin is free from marks, your photos will look even more beautiful, natural and polished.

This isn’t about changing your body. It’s about setting yourself up to feel your absolute best. 💖

After working with brides for over 20 years, I’ve seen how this one simple change can completely elevate a shoot.

And that’s what this experience is all about. Helping you create a wedding gift that feels personal, powerful and completely you. 💍✨

I wish more brides knew this!

I wish more brides knew this! 💭✨

You do NOT have to change your body before your wedding. You don’t need to lose weight. You don’t need to “fix” anything. You don’t need to become someone else to deserve your moment 💍🤍

There’s so much pressure around weddings. That “perfect” red carpet feeling. The idea that you have to look a certain way. But the truth is, the way you see yourself often just needs a shift in perspective 👀💫

A boudoir photoshoot can completely change how you view your body. It allows you to see yourself through a new lens. A softer one. A more loving one. The way your partner already sees you ❤️

It’s not about changing your shape. It’s about changing the story you tell yourself.

Before you even think about diets or drastic changes, do this instead 👇

Book a boudoir bridal photoshoot 📸✨Give yourself the chance to feel confident. Powerful. Beautiful. Exactly as you are right now.

See your body for what it truly is. Worthy. Desirable. Incredible. No edits needed 💕

These images become more than photos. They become a reminder. A feeling. A gift 🎁

The most personal, meaningful wedding gift you can give. One that only YOU can create.

Timeless. Artistic. Intimate.Black and white portraits. Lace. Heels. Maybe even nothing but your veil 🤍🔥

This is about celebrating YOU. Not a future version of you. Not a “better” version.

You. Right now. As you are.

And that version is already more than enough! 💫
